Hi, I’m Sarah, an experienced English language teacher and teacher trainer with around 20 years’ experience in English language teaching.
I offer friendly, personalised English lessons for adults, children and teenagers, including General English, conversation, IELTS preparation and Academic English. I’m DELTA qualified and also hold an International House Young Learner Certificate with Distinction. Lessons are available online worldwide or face-to-face in Swansea.
Lessons can be booked individually at times that suit you, subject to availability.
My approach is supportive, practical and tailored to you. Whether you want to build your confidence, improve your accuracy, prepare for an exam or simply feel more comfortable using English, I’ll help you work towards your individual goals.

General English
£35 for 1 hour
Personalised English lessons designed around your individual level, needs and goals. Lessons can include speaking, pronunciation, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary, with a practical focus on helping you use English more confidently and accurately.

Conversation & Speaking
£35 for 1 hour
Personalised speaking lessons to help you become more confident and fluent in English. Develop your pronunciation, vocabulary and natural expressions through interesting conversation, with expert correction, feedback and guidance throughout.

English for Children & Teenagers
£35 for 1 hour
Friendly, engaging and personalised English lessons for children and teenagers, tailored to the learner’s age, level, interests and individual goals.
Lessons can develop speaking, confidence, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and general English skills, as well as support with school English where appropriate.
Lesson format: Lessons are available online worldwide or face-to-face in Swansea by arrangement. Parents/guardians, please let me know which option you would prefer.
For parents and guardians:
For younger learners, all bookings must be made by a parent or legal guardian in the parent/guardian’s own name, using their own email address and contact details. The parent/guardian is responsible for booking, payment and routine communication with Collier English.
For online lessons with younger children, a parent or guardian should be nearby and available if needed and should briefly join at the beginning of the first lesson.
Safeguarding:
The safety and wellbeing of younger learners is a priority. Appropriate safeguarding procedures and an Enhanced DBS certificate are in place.
IELTS Preparation
£40 for 1 hour
Personalised IELTS preparation based on your current level, target score, strengths and areas for development. Lessons can focus on speaking, writing, reading and listening, as well as vocabulary, grammar, exam techniques and time management.

Academic English
£40 for 1 hour
Personalised Academic English support for university students, prospective students, postgraduates and professionals. Lessons can focus on academic writing, structure, vocabulary, reading, grammar, presentations, seminars and communicating confidently in academic settings.
